How to get there

Option 1- FROM HEATHROWIf you are flying in to Heathrow we suggest that you either take a cab (about £45.00) or take the Heathrow Express train which brings you into Paddington Station within 15 minutes. A one way trip varies from £16.50 to £23.00 depending on how one obtains the ticket from on line to on the train itself. You can also take the Heathrow Connection which is cheaper but it only runs every half hour and takes 30 minutes to Paddington. We recommend the train, depending on the number of people travelling, as it is fast and convenient. If you do decide to take the train to Paddington station and presuming you have bags we suggest you take a cab to the house, about a 5 minute cab ride at a cost of about £6.00. You can walk it in 15 minutes if you are feeling up to it and are happy to wheel your luggage. If you do decide to walk (we have done it twice when a strike has been on or the taxi queue was so long) then take the ramp at the opposite end to the formal station and along the platform adjacent to the Heathrow Express, at the top of the ramp turn right and then left after you have hit the canal. Continue along the canal under a bridge until you come to the second bridge. Go over the second bridge and down the road crossing one road with a mini round about and Elnathan Mews is the next road on the left (good way to know the area). There is another alternative that may be less expensive (usually about £28.00) depending on your numbers and luggage. The following MINI CAB companies offer a service to collect you at Heathrow and drop you at the house. At the time of writing they are:PLAZA EXEC CAR LTD: Tel: 02077240000AIRPORT EXPRESS: Web Address: Tel: 02076030333We take no responsibility for any of these services. Option 2 - FROM GATWICKTake the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station and then take a cab or if you are up to the challenge take the underground railway to Warwick Station on the Bakerloo line– the Gatwick Express will cost approx. £20.00 and the cab about $14.00.Option 3 - FROM LUTON OR STANSTEADTake a bus or train into London and then a cab.Option 4 - FROM PADDINGTON STATIONThere are three options her, walking (about 20 minute brisk walk), by cab (about 5 minutes) or by underground rail to Warwick Station (the next stop on the Bakerloo line going north). Once out of Warwick Street station walk down Warwick Avenue, away from the double lane highway and to the left of the church, take the second left into Formosa Street and then first right into Elnathan Mews – the house is at the other end of the Mews.PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE COMING BY CAR YOU ARE ALLOWED TO UNLOAD AT ANY TIME OUTSIDE THE HOUSE BUT YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PARK THE CAR OUTSIDE THE HOUSE BETWEEN 8.30AM AND 6.30PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY – YOU WILL BE FINED BY TRAFFIC POLICE. THERE IS VERY LIMITED PARKING ON ANY STREET NEAR BY AND IT IS METRED WHICH IS INCONVENIENT. WE SUGGEST IF YOU HAVE A CAR YOU PARK IT IN A CAR PARKING GARAGE. THE NEAREST ONE THAT HAS REASONABLE CHARGES IS QUEENS GATE IN BAYSWATER, AND ENJOY PUBLIC TRANSPORT DURING YOUR STAY.
