If you arrive in Stornoway you have to head south on the main arterial route, the A858 for about 15 minutes until you reach the village of Balallan that stretches along loch seaforth. As you reach the end of the village you will see signs directing you to take a left. along the B8060. It's a really good, upgraded double track road to Glen Gravir. You will pass through the villages of Sheildinish, Habost, Kershader, Garyvard until you come to a fork in the road. Take a right to Gravir. About 2 miles along the road you will head down into Gravir, take andother right and head past the church that sits on top of the hill and go out the glen for about quarter of a mile. On the left you'll pass a small private garage. head past this for 100 meters and Glen Gravir Cottage is on your right, surrounded by trees. Ask for details on how to access the house.
