How to get there
Salzburg airport is only 80km from Chalet Gretl. Ryanair and Easyjet are all good choices for cheap flights
Public Transport is very good in Austria. From the Airport buses go straight to Zell am See (1 hr 40) or bus to Salzburg station (15 mins) and train to Zell (1 hr 40 express, 1 hr 50 stopper). NB Shops, restaurants, banks & pubs are a 5 minute walk from the Chalet. Cars can be hired at the airport. Best to pre-book. From the airport it's a beautiful 1.15hr drive to the chalet.

Getting around
Car is recommended. However there are local ski busses, the local narrow gauge railway from Zel-am-See to Mittersill, and the main line to Innsbruck and Salzburg.
