Getting around
With a car (you will only be able to get to within 220 metres of Via di Castello by car!) one can explore the beautiful surroundings, whether up into the hills where the refuges also serve delicious food or further afield along the Serchio Valley to Barga, Castelnuovo in Garfagna and countless other places of interest.Children love paddling in the many local rivers - some deep enough for swimming. There are also regular swimming pools in surrounding towns.
