How to get there
The train and bus services to Wesport are excellent. The Bus service from Westport to Achill is efficient and punctual. However if one wants to get “around" the Island a car is advised. Taxi and Hackney car services are available on the Island. It’s also possible to hire out bicycles at a reasonable cost.
