Pisa is the closest airport, taking about 1 hour to drive to the house. You need to hire a car and drive north to the E80 and then turn right towards Parma on the A15 and exit at Pontremoli. You can stop on the way at Lerici or one of the other coastal towns for lunch and a swim.

We also fly to Genoa, which is a quiter airport and mainly used by locals (rather then tourists). If you have time it is worth stopping of at Portofino, a beautiful seaside town. Drive south down the E80 and then join the A15 as before.

Note that you will have to pay a toll on the motorway, which is usually just under 9 euros from the airport.
