Getting to Navelli from Pescara
BY BUS OR TRAIN
To get to Navelli (ss 17, km 67) from Pescara take the regional bus (ARPA) situate opposite Stazione Centrale (central train station) in Pescara towards L'Aquila, get off at the bus stop 'Navelli – Carabinieri'.
Pescara airport is one hour from Navelli (www.abruzzoairport.com/default.aspx?lang=it), once at the airport you can opt to rent a car (follow the signs to the highway A 25 (Torano-Pescara-Rome) and exit at Bussi to continue. Then take the SS. 153 and follow signs to L'Aquila. After about 20 km you will find Navelli. From the airport you can also reach the station with bus number 38 and use the regional bus as indicated above.
Ryanair flies to Pescara from London Stansted, Barcelona Girona, Dusseldorf Weeze, Frankfurt Hahn, Oslo Torp, Paris Beauvais, Brussels Charleroi.
Getting to Navelli from Rome
By car take the highway A24 Roma L'Aquila, Teramo, L'Aquila, then exit at L'Aquila East and continue in the direction of Popoli and Pescara on highway 17 (Navelli is located at km 67).
From the airport of Fiumicino or Ciampino there are several options to reach Navelli, from the airports you can:
- Rent a car
- Use the service offered by the bus company Gaspari that connects these airports to “L'Aquila – hotel Amiternum” (www.gaspariairport.it ) five times per day. From there you will need to use public transport to reach the regional bus terminal ARPA where you can take one of the lines that stop at Navelli (L'Aquila – Pescara or L'Aquila – Sulmona).
- Reach Tiburtina Station in Rome by public transport then take the bus ARPA to L'Aquila. At the bus station in L'Aquila take the ARPA bus to Pescara, which stops in Navelli.
