How to get there
The nearest international airport is the Daniel Oduba airport in Liberia, about a 1.5 hour drive. San Jose airport is about a 4 hour drive. If you need it' airport pick-ups can be arranged. To get the best out of your stay, having a hire car (or a quad/ side by side) is recommended.
Nick will liaise with you re your expected arrival time in Samara and somewhere in Samara to meet before heading to Casa Margarita.

Getting around
As stated, a hire car or other means of transport is recommended in order to make the most of your stay. However, there is a regular bus service (Alfaro) from Samara to San Jose and the SJ airport. There is no direct public bus service from Samara to Liberia airport (it requires a change at Nicoya) but there is a daily private shuttle service. Taxis are readily available, as is bicycle hire for the more active.
