How to get there
Le Calipel is situated within easy reach of the ferryports at Caen ( 1 hour), Cherbourg (1 hour 15) and St Malo (1 hour 20) and 20% discount can be offered with Brittany Ferries for these crossings. The northern channel crossings to Calais, etc are about 3.5 hours away by car. It is 10 minutes from junction 39 of the A84 so although very rural, is not too far from major routes. Comprehensive instructions will be provided from junction 39 to Le Calipel.
The nearest airports are at Carpiquet (Caen) but the most flights go to Dinard and Rennes, both about 90 minutes away. The Paris airports are about 3 hours away. Car hire offices are situated at all these airports.

As we are in a rural setting, a car or motorbike makes it easier for you to get to Le Calipel although we have had guests turn up on bicycles from the railway station at Vire!
