Strathpeffer is approx 15 miles North of Inverness, 20 miles away from the nearest Airport at Dalcross, Inverness and 4 miles away from the nearest railway station at Dingwall.
By car follow the A9 from Kessock bridge Inverness for approx 6 miles to the Tore roundabout , take second exit marked A835 Dingwall / Ullapool for 5 miles to Maryburgh roundabout. Take 3rd exit to right for 1.5 mile to 2nd set of traffic lights in the centre of Dingwall and turn left on to A834 signposted Strathpeffer for 0.5 miles. Take right turn at Vauxhall garage onto Dochcarty road. Turn left after 0.25 miles and drive for 2 miles following signs for Neil Gunn momument. The access road to Ivy cottage is just before the entrance to the monument carpark and has a large viewpoint sign pointing towards the property.
