Cape Verde is a 5.5 hour flight away from the UK. Thomson airlines fly direct from Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester. TAP Portugal fly to cape verde but do stop overs via Lisbon, Portugal. Car hire is easy to arrange once on the island, but Sal island is small and taxis from the resort into Santa Maria (town) are inexpensive and in plentiful supply, so car hire is not a necessity, but can be arranged through the resort. The resort is a 15 minute drive from the airport.
