Getting around
Hiring a private driver and van provides the easiest and most convenient way way to travel in Jamaica. A minimum of 3 consecutive days is required for a private van with full-time driver in a clean, modern 15-seater van. Rate: Weekly: US$875 per week plus gas - 2 long distance trip (between Ocho Rios and Negril, and unlimited local trips. One full tank of gas complimentary. Daily: US$135 per day plus gas (3 day minimum) - 1 long distance trip (between Ocho Rios and Negril, and unlimited local trips. 1/2 tank of gas complimentary. Suggested gratuity: 15%. Overtime can be negotiated.
