Le Pichet is situated about 1h 30 from Toulouse Blagnac(Easyjet, BA from Gatwick and Bristol, bmi baby from Manchester),2h from both Carcassonne and Lourdes (Ryanair from Stanstead, Liverpool and E. Midlands, sometimes Bournemouth.). For people arriving from Scotland, there are direct flights to Barcelona,4-5 hours away depending on route. Bergerac, Bordeaux and Girona are also possible arrival/departure airports if you are considering visiting this area in combination with other lovely parts of France (or Spain).
The nearest autoroute is the A64 fromBayonne Toulouse ( 1h to jn 20) but there are many other possibilities for instance if you are coming from Carcassonne or Barcelona.)
Bilbao (From Portsmouth-p/o ferries) is about 350k away, for those driving through France the direct distance from Calais is 800k.

A a car is essential as the nearest town with bus connections is St Girons (20k away) which links with train services at Boussens (40k) on the Toulouse Bayonne line. Bus services are very limited here, and are confined to the valley bottoms converging on St Girons.
