Most people fly in from Bangkok on Bangkok AIrways, who have flights almost every hour . Also, Thai Airways has two flights a day from Bangkok. Bangkok Airways also has daily flights from Hong Kong or Singapore nonstop to Samui. A cheaper way to get to Samui (but a much longer one) is to take the flight from Bangkok to Surathani---and then take the ferry to Samui.
