How to get there

You can fly into Inverness, Edinburgh or Glasgow airports, from worldwide destinations. From there you can hire a car to get around the area, or you can get the train to Kyle of Lochalsh, and then onwards via the local bus service. Or, if you like, you can get a Citylink bus from all towns and cities in Scotland - try the journey from Glasgow to the centre of Portree via the side of Loch Lomond - a beautiful journey. If you are driving, come onto Skye, over the (free) bridge (no ferry, unless you come onto the island via the Mallaig/Armaldale ferry), and keep heading north towards Uig (where the ferry goes to the Outer Hebrides). From Uig head for Kilmuir, up the hill behind Uig. Keep on this road, passing the Whitewave Outdoor Centre on the right - with the wind turbine, 2 white churches and the Iron Age Souterrain. You then turn left, sign posted for Bornasketaig. Head down this road for a short distance, and before the cattle grid there is a gravel track on the right, go to the far end of this track and you will find the house - WEST VIEW.
