The cottage is on the quayside in Topsham only ten feet from the waterside. Topsham is a small historic port at the top of the Exe estuary, just four miles from the centre of the cathedral city of Exeter. Topsham is very easy to get to: by car, it is 5 minutes from the M5 motorway; by rail, there is a branch line from Exeter St David's mainline railway station - a 15 minute journey with trains running every 30 minutes; by air, Topsham is seven miles from Exeter international airport, a 10 minute car journey.
