How to get there

From the M27, exit at Junction 2 (the next one after the M271) onto the A326 Southbound, then keep going south until you reach Dibden Purlieu roundabout (the B3054). Take the 3rd exit onto Roman Road Southbound, running parallel to the A326, becoming Butts Ash Lane. At the bottom it takes a dog leg to the left. Follow it round. Exit right onto Forest Front just before the Gleneagles pub. Go SLOWLY down Forest Front (an unmade gravel track, speed limit 10mph). The house is on the left, a little bit after the Forest Meadow turnoff. Pull down the drive, into the car park in front of the house.

The best station is Southampton Central. From there:
• Take the Bluestar No 9 bus from the Central station (or West Quay or Millbrook roundabout) to Dibden Purlieu (The Heath) - every 20 minutes, just over half an hour's ride. Walk South from the roundabout along Roman Road, follow it round into Butts Ash Lane, then turn right into Forest Front at the Gleneagles pub. About ten minutes on foot. Or,
• Go to the Southampton Town Quay (there is a free shuttle bus from the Central station). Take the Hythe Ferry over to Hythe Pier. Ride the picturesque Victorian Pier railway to land, then complete your journey by taxi, or by local bus to Dibden Purlieu and walk.
It is also possible to take a bus from Totton or Lymington stations.
