Nea Anchialos Airport (code VOL) operates since 1993 and is a modern airport that covers the needs of central Greece serving international and charter flights from/to several cities in Europe. The airport is located 3 km after the exit of Almyros Interchange on Highway E75 and 26 km away from the city of Volos.
Carriers such as Easyjet, Hop!, FlyNiki, or FlyTUI fly directly to Volos Airport.Connection to the city is serviced by Magnesia Intercity Bus Company. Although taxis are also available outside the terminal, car hire is strongly recommended with major international companies such as Hertz, Budget, or Avis on service.
