How to get there
FROM M6, from south:
Leave the M6 at junction 15 and take the A500 toward Stoke on Trent. then the A50 toward Uttoxeter, then the A520 to Leek. In Leek follow signs for the A523 to Buxton. After approx 4 miles, take the right turn (past the Winking Man pub) to Longnor – approx another 4 miles.
On entering Longnor, continue past the market place on your right, through the sharp bend by the Horseshoe pub and take the first turning on your right into Church Street. Continue past the church on your right and you will see Ruby Cottage about 100 yards on the left hand side, middle of a row of three cottages.
FROM M6/M60, from north:
Leave the M60 at Junction 1 at Stockport and follow signs for A6 Buxton for approx 12 miles. In Buxton take the A515 for Ashbourne for approx 3 miles, then take the right turning at the Bookstore for Longnor . Continue for approx another 3 miles. As you enter Longnor take the left turn into Church Street. Continue past the church on your right and you will see Ruby Cottage about 100 yards on the left hand side, middle of a row of three cottages.
FROM M1, from east:
Leave the motorway at junction 28 and take the A38 toward Derby, then the A610 then A6 toward Matlock. At Cromford take the A5012 toward Buxton, then right onto the A515 at Newhaven toward Buxton. After approx 3 miles take the left turn to Longnor. Continue for approx 4 miles, through the hamlet of Crowdecote, before entering Longnor village. Take the first proper right (fork) turn into Church Street. Ruby Cottage is about 200 yds on your right hand side, middle of a row of three cottages.
