The distance from Calais is 760km and takes about 8 hours by car. (Boulogne-Rouen-LeMains-Poitiers-Angouleme). There are a number of alternative ferry companies. We have found Sea France to be very competitive. If you are prepared for a little longer drive you can use Norfolk Line to Dunkirk instead of Calais. This is about an additional 45km but if you decide to come through Paris this is no disadvantage.

By air to Bordeaux,Bergerac or Limoges we suggest Ryanair, they have an almost daily service from Stansted or East Midlands, they are cheap if you book ahead. Alternatively Flybe from Exeter or Southampton, or sometimes Gatwick Ryanair to Angouleme, which is nearer. Flybe fly into Edinburth from Limoges. Bergerac & Limoges are just over 1 hour drive to Les Gites Trepart. Angouleme is 50 minutes away.

Rental cars are available from a large number of rental companies at Bordeaux/Limoges/Bergerac/Angouleme. You can book Hertz through Ryanair. Europcar and Avis are also available.
