How to get there
Our flat is in Dorsoduro in the heart of Venice. The public water bus (Vaporetto line 1) travels along the Grand Canal and stops at Ca Rezzonico which is less than three minutes walk to the apartment. The water bus runs every few minutes from the train station (Santa Lucia) and the bus terminus (Piazzale Roma).
By air: British Airways, EasyJet and Thomson Fly have frequent services from UK main and regional airports to Venice Marco Polo. Air France and EasyJet have services from Paris and Alitalia and Air One have flights from Rome all to Venice Marco Polo. Ryanair have flights to Treviso. From Marco Polo airport there are several options - a water taxi which will take you to the front door in about 30 minutes, the water bus to the Zattere (about 10 minutes walk) or the land bus or taxi to the Piazzale Roma from which you can walk (about 10 minutes) or take the water bus (line 1) to Ca Rezzonico.
By train: From the city's railway station (Santa Lucia) which is well served with trains from across Europe (including a night train from Paris) you can walk (about 15 minutes) or take the water bus (line 1) to Ca Rezzonico from which the apartment is a short walk (3 minutes).
By car: Once you cross the bridge into Venice look for signs for the Tronchetto parking which is charged on a daily basis. Proceed to Piazzale Roma and then as above.
