Hemp Cottage is located 2 miles from the main A7 to Belfast, just outside the village of Crossgar.This route has a good bus service into Belfast to the North, and Downpatrick to the South. Transport from Dublin is possible by train to Belfast, and now just 2 hours by car from Dublin Port due to the upgrade in the A1.
