From Chipata it is 130kms to Mfuwe via tarred road. From Mfuwe it is 40km to Malama Umoyo Camp over a gravel/sand/dirt road through the bush. You will need a 4x4 or at least a car with a high clearance.
From Petauke it is 130kms to Malama. First 60km over a fair gravel road and then on a sand/dirt/rock road. You will see the rural african life from time to time and once you reach Malama you will see wildlife.
Plans are made to build a shop for basic supplies in the rural village nearby.
