Guests with SATNAV may be given a different route, this one avoids the city centre's complicated traffic system.
Leave the M4 at J42 and proceed along dual carriageway into Swansea (A483), past the SA1 development, Sainsburys on the left, through several sets of lights, past the leisure centre (LC2) and County Hall on left, follw the dual carriageway road with Swansea Bay immediately on your left. The raod becomes Oystermouth road and then Mumbles road (A4067) and you are heading towards Mumbles. Past the university and Singleton Hospital on your right, playing fields on your right and a pitch and putt golf course on your left. Then with Blackpill lido on left and Woodman pub on the right take right filter and turn right up Mayals Road. Continue up the tree lined hill, across Clyne Common at the top, past the villages of Murton and Bishopston to the left, and through Kittle. Approximately 1/2 mile after Kittle turn right (Pennard Church in front of you), along Vennaway Lane which comes to a T junction after 1/3 mile. Turn left onto the A4118 South Gower Road and proceed through Parkmill, Penmaen, Nicholaston, Perriswood, Knelston and Scurlage to the end of the A4118 that terminates in Port Eynon.
Once you have descended into the village just past the Church the road bears at right angles to the right . After 100 yards take turning to left (signposted Borfa House) and Ivy Cottages are located 100 yards on the right opposite the Ship Inn, set back 40 yards from the road.
Parking for Oxwich View for 2 cars is round to the left (park parallel to the fence line up to the grass line, and for Port Eynon Beach space for 3 cars along the wall to the right, parked at a slight angle.
Shopping supplies: It is a long way back into Swansea and you can avoid wasting time on food shopping by ordering from Tesco and Sainsbury, both of whom will deliver to Port Eynon.
