Getting around
A short journey to the South and you can spend a day at Southwold or the surrounding Suffolk heritage coastal areas. To your East is Lowestoft and its award-winning sandy beach. Lowestoft Ferry runs along Lake Lothing and a voyage here will allow you to discover both Lowestoft and Oulton Broad. Perhaps consider hiring a canoe and picture yourself paddling off along the Broads for an afternoon or there are plenty of spots to hire a boat too and enjoy captaining a vessel for a day. Whilst we’re on the topic of exploring, we would recommend a visit to Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve. For those that enjoy bird watching and nature, then this is a must visit.
