Located at an altitude of 1750 meters, Bhowali is a picturesque 15-minutes drive over a 10
km distance through forested hills from Nainital, in the newly formed state of Uttarakhand. It
is the sole gateway into the Kumaon hills and better known as a health resort during the pre-
independence era due to its salubrious climate and rejuvenating environs. The surrounding
Bhowali abound with orchids of Apricots, Plums, Peaches, Apples & Persimmons peculiar to the
Himalayas offer visitors a sensual experience. There are several ways of getting to Bhowali: by
Air, by Road, by Train or a combination of these modes of transport.

By Air

Flights to Pantnagar from Delhi are available. The flying time is approximately 50 minutes. The
Pantnagar airport is 60 minutes from the Gemini Inn.

By Road

Bhowali is located at a distance of 10 Kms from Nainital, on the Kathgodam- Almora / Ranikhet
highway and is the gateway into the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Bhowali is connected by
road from Delhi (310 Kms). The drive from Delhi to Bhowali takes approximately 6-7 hours.

By Train

Express Trains (Ranikhet Express, Sampark Kranti Express) run daily from Old Delhi Railway
Station to Kathgodam the last railhead in the Kumaon hills. From Kathgodam, Bhowali is
approximately 30km away.
