How to get there
Easyjet, Jet2, Thomas cook, Thompson,and Monarch airlines all fly to Heraklion which at present is the nearest airport. From the airport you can hire a car, the companies that we have used are Motor Plan and Holiday Autos. It is about a 2 hour drive to Makrigialos. There is a bus service from the airport but you would need to change buses in Ierapetra.
