How to get there

Take the M40 and then either the:
M42 north/east and the M6 (or Birmingham relief road) or
M42 south/west and the M5 north to pick up the M6 (take care not to miss the turn for the M5 north otherwise you'll end up in Cornwall!!)
Continue on the M6 north.
At Junction 10A take the M54 to mid Wales.
Then follow the A 5 all the way until the roundabout with the A 458 to Welshpool.

The Birmingham relief road:
It might cost a fiver or so but better than sitting in a jam on the M6.
Follow signs for the relief road from the M42 (north)
Come off the relief road at junction 8 (or T8) after having been through the main payment toll at T7 and then follow signs for Telford/Shrewsbury (A5) and then M54 West to Wales. (Very unhelpfully, the M54 is not signposted from the relief road, and it is a bit of an odd way round but better than sitting in traffic on the M6)

There is a good place to stop at the end of the M54 just a few miles along the A5 called Dobbies garden centre. There is a burger king, little chef, coffee bar and a full café in the garden centre with loos!!

Take the A458 to Welshpool and here go through Welshpool following signs for the A 458 to Dolgellau. After about 30- 40 mins on a straight road you get to a little roundabout at Mallwyd. Here, go right taking the A470 towards Dolgellau. Turn left at the junction with the A 487 towards Corris. Go through Corris Uchaf (Upper Corris). At Corris turn left off the main road (at the Braich Goch pub) into the village. Go past the Corris Institute on your left and take the next turn on your right into Minfford street just after the Slaters Arms pub (a white building with no pub sign!!). Go down this lane and 4 Greenfields is at the bottom of the hill/lane on the right hand side. It is about 10 cottages before the bridge. It has a double glazed door with number 4 on it. Next door have a little fence around their front garden and to the left of them there is a cottage set right back from the road.
