Getting around
Corfe Castle and the Village is one and a half miles away, where there is a good, well-stocked village general grocery store and a number of excellent pubs and tea houses (NT). The Greyhound pub overlooks the castle from its gardens at the rear, and The Bankes Arms, Castle Inn and the Fox all serve good food, with large garden areas. In Corfe there's also the famous Purbeck Steam Railway station for train rides from Corfe to Wareham and the seaside town and beaches at Swanage- a perfect starting point for you to follow in the foot steps of a Famous Five Enid Blyton adventure.
