How to get there
As the name suggests it’s a real hide-out and difficult to find. We prefer to meet you at the little lake “Lago di Astano” just past the village of Astano.
The lake is also quite easy to find with the common road GPS navigators.
From there we will guide to your place and give a brief introduction about the place and the area.
Getting around
The natural environment of the forest gives you also the possibility to practice outdoor exercise, such as yoga, running and meditation. If you are an animal lover, here at Rifugio Nel Bosco, you will be able to sight wild animals like deers, boars (cinghiale) or foxes among others, especially at the end of summer & autumn. Horseback riding is also available in the area. Enjoy our treasures or pick up your own "castagne" from beneath the trees to eat them later at the fire. If you are interested in culture, Malcantone will offer you also plenty of opportunities for you to discover old villages. Cities like Lugano or Locarno famous for it's film festival. You may also visit an old gold mine only in waking distance through the forest.
