How to get there
The details of how you reach the house are contained in the package of general information which will be sent out six weeks before your arrival.
Airports. Apart From Rome Fiumicino (1.5 hrs drive to the house) there is another much smaller airport called Rome Ciampino. This is south of the city and mainly caters for budget airlines like Ryanair.
More convenient is Pisa airport ( 2.15 hrs), which is smaller and only 10 minutes from the station with car rental offices withing the airport permetre
Our local station is Orbetello (20 minutes from the house) which is on the Pisa-Rome railway line. Several taxis are listed in the notes you will receive later on. We recommend Claudio who is cheaper than the others and knows the house like the others..

Getting around
A car is the best way to get around locally. Buses run fairly frequently from Porto Ercole to the Feniglia beach, Orbetello and the station. The largest supermarket in the area is the Co-op, about half a mile outside Orbetello on the road leading back to the station. A much smaller Co-op can be found on the right hand side of the road leading from our house to just before you enter the village of Porto Ercole.
