Description

Nestled in lush tropical gardens with valley view, ‘Villa Senang Senggigi’ is a secluded, cozy retreat with private swimming pool (with baby pool), outdoor Jacuzzi and comfortable ‘berugaks’ (thatched bamboo structures fitted with backrests, mattresses and pillows), perfect for families and larger groups alike.

Rich healthy breakfast is included in the rate: Multi-grain rye/white bread and eggs, butter, jam/honey (or banana pancakes), fresh tropical fruit and orange juice. Drinking water, tea and coffee are complimentary throughout the day. Free toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body soap).

You can cook for yourself in two well-appointed kitchens, be picked-up and dropped off for free by one of Senggigi’s best restaurants, or simply order in. Taxi rides to the main tourist hub Senggigi are cheap and easy to arrange; Bluebird taxis use meters also during night times. Located in the beautiful valley of Kerandangan Village, only five minutes’ drive north from West Lombok’s main tourist destination of Senggigi, it is a great base for excursions on the island or over to the famous Gili Islands.

The villa is situated within walking distance of ‘Kerandangan Nature Reserve’ with designated walking trails into the jungle, one of the rare areas where you can spot Lombok’s own species of black monkeys.

Kerandangan beach with its amazing sunset views over to Bali is a 30 minutes’ walk away along the village road. Meet the friendly villagers, a mix of Hindu and Muslim families.

The villa consists of three separate units:

‘Villa Bunte’ is a traditional inspired bungalow with two air-conditioned bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, high ceilings and large windows. Enjoy outdoor living on the large veranda with two dining tables, opening onto the garden and swimming pool. The master bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed and mosquito net. The spacious bathroom boasts a shower and a freestanding bath tub. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and mosquito net, a bathroom equipped with a shower, and gives direct access to the large ‘berugak’ in the garden. The airy inside living area includes satellite flat screen TV and DVD player.

‘Villa Astrid’ is a modern two bed-roomed villa with floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto the swimming pool. Enjoy lazing on the sunbeds or the berugak, and start your day with breakfast at the dining table by the swimming pool. Take in the panoramic view over the vibrant garden to the green hills surrounding the valley. Two air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are fitted with queen sized beds and mosquito nets. The living area includes a well-appointed kitchen corner and has satellite flat screen TV and a DVD player. One bedroom leads off from the living room, the second bedroom has its separate entrance from the terrace and has its own DVD player with flat screen monitor.

‘Simon´s Suite’ has its own privacy with a separate entrance next to the village road, but is connected to ‘Villa Astrid’ through a door between Astrid’s second bedroom and the private garden of Simon’s Suite. It consists of an air-conditioned bedroom with a super king sized bed and mosquito net, an en-suite bathroom equipped with a large bath tub with rain style shower. The sitting room, with satellite flat screen TV and DVD player, boasts a huge chill out sofa, which can provide for two additional guests to sleep. Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto the private tropical garden with its outdoor Jacuzzi, berugak and dining table with umbrella. The suite is equipped with a fridge and an electric kettle.

Taxi rides to the main tourist hub Senggigi are cheap and easy to arrange; Bluebird taxis use meters also during night times.Some restaurants in Senggigi offer free pick-up/drop-off service and food delivery. You can also rent motorbikes/cars or book guided tours.

Interaction with guest

Wayan, our villa manager will greet you on arrival and show you around. She will be at the villa from morning until late afternoon to look after you if required, and can also be contacted through WhatsApp if you have a special request. She can go shopping for you, organise taxis, order food delivery and other things. She is very friendly with children, they usually love her!
