OUR BEACH COTTAGE IS SPECIAL! You will not find a neater or more special place to spend your time here on Manasota Key! It is the original home on the property and sits independent on a large double lot next to the our Beach House an is in an excellent location being only 150 feet from beach. It is very private and unique because of the location and all of the landscaping. We purchased the house several years ago from a local artist who had it for 32 years and have renovated it back to a house from an art studio the prior owner made it into. It has all been upgraded to to the quality of a new home but we restored all of the cypress and terrazzo to keep it's Old Florida Beach House charm. There is no other home this cool or romantic to rent on the Key it looks like it came straight off a HGTV episode! It is a rare find on the key because of it's quite location in a residential neighborhood as well as its 2 lots give you lots of open area with botanical gardens making you feel like your in you own private beach compound. It is located 1/2 mile from the state park and 3/4 of a mile from the restaurants, bars with live entertainment and shops.

The BEST PART is you will find yourself a "stone's throw" (150 ft) from a wide private beach on the Gulf of Mexico.

Since this is our family vacation home you will find it's like staying at a friend’s home not a hotel. It is furnished like a home and you will find everything you will need with the exception of a beach towel and your clothes. (ALL ROOMS HAVE CABLE TELEVISION AND WIRELESS INTERNET)

Need more space the 3/1 MAIN HOUSE is adjacent and sleeps 6 to 8 and has a Billard room with a Brunswick drop pocket pool table!

This quaint beach house is within easy walking distance to a Tiki

bar on the bay, fine dining and casual restaurants as well as a

convenience store and other shopping and boardwalk. We have simply

tried to think of everything you would want, or need, to make your

vacation a very special experience. We are literally 150 feet from

one of the most beautiful beaches that Florida has to offer, as well

as being only 600 feet from Lemon Bay. Bring your boat, use one of

the nearby ramps, rent a dock or moor on the bay. You will have

direct access to the Gulf of Mexico within minutes. This is a

renowned fished and boating area. You can surf cast off the beach

from anywhere on the island, or charter boats for tarpon, flounder,

grouper, mackerel or redfish.

It doesn't get any better than this!

This home is the perfect getaway from the bustle and noise of

everyday life, or to enjoy the glamour and excitement of Florida's

Gulf Coast. The choice is yours:

Spend a day at the beach, just doing...nothing

Explore protected wildlife areas and bird sanctuaries

Visit Stump Pass State Park

Dine at one of the local restaurants.

This home is only minutes (0.4 miles) from some of the finest dining

and nightlife in Florida. The area also has plenty of opportunities

for shopping, golf, boating, fishing and much more. We are within

easy driving distance of many of Florida's most popular cities and

attractions. Venice and Sarasota are a short drive, and provide many

cultural attractions and unusual shopping opportunities. We are

within a 2-3 hour drive of Tampa/St.Petersburg, Orlando (Disney

World), Fort Myers and Naples.

Local shuttle thats free runs to right in front of the house and theres bike and walking path the runs most of the Key.

House rules

Must be 30 years old or speak with me. All pets must be cleared some animals we do not accept.NO SMOKING IN HOUSE! In the event there is a cancellation 60 days or prior I will refund your deposit if I can rebook my home. This is my 12th year renting and have many repeat guest who are friends. I like to meet and deal with my guest 1 on 1. Thanks and look forward to having you as our guest

How do damage deposits work?
