“Cosy cottage”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2017

St Claire Cottage is an amazing place to stay, it has everything you ever need for a wonderful holiday, the kitchen is so well equipped, the living/dining room warm and cosy, the bedrooms excellent and the walk in shower amazing. The front patio and views are wonderful, and the rear garden patio amazing views looking across the river and all the boats. The Herron Inn excellent food and friendly staff, Judy you have an amazing cottage and everything was as expected, loved it.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for taking the time to review St Claire and to praise it! We love the cottage and like to share it with others who appreciate the standard that we work to. The location sells itself as you found out! Your utube video was amazing and has been viewed by many of our friends and family. We would love to welcome you back on another occasion.

“Relaxation Defined”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2015

The perfect place to recharge your batteries and reflect on life. This charming little Cottage exudes the love the Owner has for it. It is warm and welcoming, extremely well equipped, sublimely comfortable and tastefully decorated with little personal touches everywhere. The location is quiet and peaceful (yet close to amenities should you need) I almost do not want to recommend it so that is available every time I want to stay!

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your positive feedback about St Claire. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

“A wonderfully cosy cottage with beautiful views”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2013

If you want somewhere to totally relax then this is for you! The cottage is beautifully equipped with great attention to detail. There is a wide range of fantastic restaurants in the area, and National Trust properties such as Trellisick or Lanhydrock are easily accessible. Locally there are some lovely walks through the woods or along the river. I would like to say this a 'home from home' but it is SO much more!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely feedback. We will try and continue to improve it even more so that you can return and relax again.

“Absolutely wonderful cottage - not our first stay and won't be our last!”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2013

St Claire's is a wonderful cottage and Judy has done a superb job in making it a perfect little retreat. We first stayed there in April 2009 and fell in love with it then, but it is now even better with its fabulous rear terrace and wet room. The cottage itself is beautifully done out and has everything you need for a peaceful holiday. It's cosy and inviting but has lovely modern treats including a super coffee machine (the consumables for which are generously proffered to guests - as is everything else, so you feel really welcome and not like you are staying at someone else's house, which is often the case with holiday lets!), wifi and surround sound. The bedroom has the most super view over the estuary, as do the front and rear terraces. Truro itself is great as is the surrounding area, lots to see and do...and eat and drink! I would recommend St Claire's to anyone, and we are already planning a stay with friends there in spring.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely feedback. St Claire is a very special place to us and so it is just so wonderful to share it with others. We have made a difference this year with the changes and will continue to strive to keep it perfect! Please come back another time.

“Absolutely perfect”

Reviewed 22 Nov 2012

Very comfortable cottage with lots of lovely little "add on's" that make the stay a little more luxurious (e.g. wine and flowers on arrival, lots of fresh coffee via tessimo machine, free broadband and incoming telephone line). Very comfortable cottage and lovely log fire. Perfect location within Cornwall to explore to the north or south and the wonderful Heron Inn next door for food. All in all, a brilliant place to stay and I highly recommend it.

Owner's reply: So glad you loved the cottage and the little extras!
