Here you will find Britain's highest mountain ranges, miles of open countryside and a multitude of lochs; all this and an untouched coastline with picturesque coves and pristine clean beaches.
This is the place for a great 'outdoors' holiday with plenty of activities for all ages; including wonderful walking and cycling, canoeing, fishing, golf and sailing, beach combing and wildlife watching.
There are also lots of historical sites and ancient places to discover in the Highlands which you'll find throughout the region as you travel along its quiet and beautiful country roads.

The Village of Mallaig is 1 mile from the Croft House, well within walking distance where there is a good choice of restaurants, many specializing in local seafood dishes, aswell as shops & traditional pubs.

Mallaig

Lots of ferry trips to choice from, the Isle of Skye is within easy reach with regular ferries over to Armadale, aswell as the small Isles Rum, Eigg and Muck and the Knoydart Peninsula, according to many; Britain's last Wilderness.
Our beaches are legendary, there are some of the most amazing seascapes to be photographed all within minutes drive from the Croft House.
The famous Glenfinnan Viaduct and monument are just half an hour drive from the cottage
Fort William is an easy day trip with lots of outdoor activities to choose from. Or take a leisurely trip up by Gondola to enjoy the spectacular views from Anoch Mhor.
Make a visit the basin at Corpach and watch the boats travel through the locks of the Caledonian Canal, along which there is a spendid cycleway.
