The house has been completely restored to provide 5 bedroom (3 double, 2 twin), 4 bathroom fully air-conditioned accommodation comprising an open living space, a large fully equipped modern kitchen and dining area. There is parking for 4 cars. You can swim in the clear and warm sea which is a short walk away. You can swim either from the beach or the jetty.

Ground floor
The villa has four bedrooms on the ground floor, each one with a direct access to an outdoor terrace. Two bedrooms are en-suite and have large comfortable double beds, and the other two bedrooms have twin beds and share a bathroom. The bedrooms have lovely views of the countryside and they are furnished with new beds and mattresses, and there is plenty of wardrobe space. All bed linen and towels are included.

First floor
A large open plan upstairs living area is reached by outside stone steps. There is also an internal staircase linking the two floors. The living room has a wood flooring and a high wood-beamed ceiling, with many windows and doors opening out onto the stone paved terraces. There are comfortable sofas and chairs, a TV/DVD player & large collection of DVDs, iPod dock for playing music and WiFi. The whole room has a sunny and tranquil aspect. A separate kitchen/dining room had pale wood kitchen units and stone coloured tiles. It is fully equipped with a fridge freezer, dishwasher, cooker and hob, kettle, toaster and a full set of cooking utensils, plates, cutlery and glasses. To one side of the room is a dining table with ten dining chairs. On this floor is also the master en-suite bedroom with a double bed, comfortable new mattress, a wardrobe and lovely views.

Outside

From the cosy terrace you can see the Adriatic through cypress and olive groves and the front of the house looks across farmland towards the pine woods and maquis that stretches South East for miles along an almost deserted coastline. There is a very nice swimming pool with a covered terrace next to it, and sunbathing terraces with sun loungers and parasols. A BBQ and outdoor dining furniture is provided for al fresco meals.

Location description from manager

The Dalmatia region

The picturesque town of Ston with its small sister town of Mali Ston are picturesque fortified medieval towns standing either end of the narrow isthmus that joins the Peljesac peninsula to the mainland. Rich in history they are places of culinary excellence and several renowned seafood restaurants are there. Prapratno Cove, close to Ston, provides one of the finest sandy beaches in Croatia. Dubrovnik is within 40 minutes drive down the spectacular coast road.

Mali Ston

The Dubrovnik Republic acquired control over Peljesac in 1333 and proceeded to construct massive fortifications in the form of a 5.5 kilometre wall spanning the isthmus and circling the towns of Ston and Mali Ston that stood on the coast at either end of the wall. The wall was built between 1336 and 1358 and is considered to be the longest defensive wall in Europe. Above Mali Ston and forming part of the town's fortification stands the impressive five-towered castle, Koruna. Mali Ston itself is laid out in terraces rising up the hillside and overlooking the sheltered harbour with its landmark circular Toljevac Tower built in 1478. Just across the isthmus lies Ston, laid out to a grid plan in the 14th century, the town is reminiscent of Dubrovnik and contains some fine public buildings dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. The ancient wall has been restored and is open to the public. The walk from Ston to Mali Ston provides wonderful views of the coastline and towns below. The saltpans at ston, still operating today are estimated to have generated two thirds of the Dubrovnik Republic's revenue in the 14th century. Nearby the small community of Broce, reached by a causeway running beside the Ston channel, was established in 1349 and has historic buildings and a delightful beach.
