The River Queen is a large double storey house (300m2), perfect for welcoming a group of friends, a large family gathering, birthdays, anniversary or corporate getaways…

The house is a combination of rustic charm and upmarket convenience, tailored for entertainment and equipped to make you feel at home. We rent out the house in its entirety on a boutique styled self-catering basis.

There are 5 double bedrooms (4 en suite) + 1 extra guest bathroom (upstairs) + 1 guest toilet (downstairs), 2 lounges with fireplace, 2 sun rooms with views on the river and the dam, a balcony, a patio. We also have some extra beds if needed for larger groups.
There is a large central open plan kitchen, fully equipped with gas stove, scullery with dish washer, laundry, large swimming pool, lush garden and river views.
The River Queen offers lots of indoor activities thanks to our entertainment area (billiard table, foosball, dartboard, games...), 2 fireplaces and a large bar. The

The River Queen is situated 250km from Cape Town and the Garden Route.
It is the original old house in the Breede Riverine Village, located on the banks of the mighty Breede River, which is one of South Africa's longest navigable rivers. Only 27km from the Indian ocean and the Breede river mouth, it is protected by the Lower Breede River Conservancy. The Breede River Estuary and its surrounds are one of the Capes best kept secrets. The area is home to the De Hoop Nature Reserve, Witsand, Infanta and the Bontebok National Park. This un-spoilt piece of paradise hosts the largest Whale Nursery in the Southern Hemisphere.

The River Queen is the perfect backdrop for fishing, wake boarding, boating, kite surfing, bird watching, mountain biking and hiking. it is also created for those who you just want to relax and enjoy!
