Had a fantastic week at this beautiful house. The views of the mountains are stunning and the house is everything you could wish for. We were a family of 10 but the house could accommodate more and with everything in the house you didn't have to go far at all. The local restaurants offer everything you need and Malaga is only a 30 min drive from the house. The owners Ian & Sally are a fantastic couple and have now become great friends. They ate with us and also cooked for us and were so warm and welcoming. Their extended family of animals are the best and we miss the dogs so much. We even had goats cheese from the Paco the local goat herder! Will definitely be returning to this wonderful haven of tranquility!!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review. We so enjoyed having you and your fantastic family stay with us. Or should I say thank you for letting us stay with you. We felt like we were on our holidays. I have some great things planned for your return and most of it involves food, ha ha. Hoping to have the Argentinian bbq finished before your return. We will have to walk it off with the dogs after, but a small sacrifice. Thanks again

We are so glad that we booked this house, right from the start with the beautiful drive up the mountain to the last day, we didnt want to go ,..The children had plenty to do and hardly looked at their consoles ! the pool ,ping, pong and all the different games on the back terrace, We visited Malaga a few times and had some good family parties in the local restaraunts and bars ,. a wonderful friendly experience all round , We will definately book again, Spacious bedrooms and change of bedlinen half way through our stay,..

“wonderful holiday”

The house is lovely, comfortable and clean. There was all what we needed, including a very romantic view! You can enjoy day-trips in the region because the place is near Malaga, otherwise you can spend your time walking in the surrounding area, swimming in the pool or relaxing in the "mexican" court-yard, where you can cook on the grill. Ian and Sally are very nice people and, if you like, they make delicious traditional food with natural products. My favorite was the milk goat. I even learned to milk the goats! Belive me, the cheese tasted best!!

Owner's reply: Thank you lt was fantastic having you and the chocolate for Sally and the wine for me was lovely of you. Hope to see you again. Ciao so passionate you Italians. Estupendo

“Perfect getaway”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2014

My wife and I came across this rental and choose to book because of the great reviews and we are happy we did. The location provided a romantic getaway with stunning views and some much needed rest and relaxation. Watching the sunset from the pool after a nice meal with some wonderful cheese the host made and provided was our highlight of our overseas trip. We can't wait to go back to this slice of paradise.

“Ian and Sally really know how to cook!”

This rural house is just 20 minutes outside of Málaga. It has a view of Málaga city and harbor that is stunning. The beds are good, There is a wood stove that is really enjoyable. One of our highlights of the weekend there was playing hodge-podge in front of a fire place. Our days had lots of rain, so the wood fire was important. The owners, Ian and Sally, are delightful. They agreed to cook two lunches and an English breakfast for us. The food was marvelous. As a group, we had lots of fun and got a lot of work done.

“Very nice!”

We rested in the Golondrinas in January. At the beginning of the house was very cold, but the fire and the wood made it a much warmer and more comfortable. Summer, it is probably quite fine. Fantastic views of the mountains, flowering almond and friendly hosts sdeleli our stay unforgettable! Biggest thanks to Ian and Sally! Special thanks to Ian for a delicious ham! Come to Golondrinas and you will not regret it!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure having you as a guest.I am glad you enjoy our natural produce. Our jamon is very special so we are told. I am sorry you never tried the fish soup ( GAZPACHUELO )BUT I AM HAPPY ABOUT THE FEED BACK I HAD FROM THE REST OF YOUR GROUP: I WILL NEVER FORGET THE EVENING I SHOW YOU ALL HOW TO WORK THE LOG STOVE EFFICIENTLY: I JUST WISH I WOULD HAVE USED THE RUM TO START THE FIRE: I HOPE YOU RETURN ONE DAY: IT WAS A PLEASURE MEETING YOU ALL: WARM REGARDS IAN & SALLY MURRELL
