Description

Our beautiful villa has a superb corner location on this small private complex and boasts stunning scenic mountain and sea views from the living areas and 3 levels of terraces / balconies. There is plenty of space and a large pool for children to enjoy. Parents are guaranteed to feel good too and you are sure to leave Makrigialos feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Our commitment is to provide our guests with high quality self catering accommodation, a friendly accessible service and a holiday that is refreshingly different from the usual holiday 'package' or typically basic Greek accommodation. We want you to feel at home, so we have designed our villas around al fresco living with lots of balcony space and everything you need within easy reach.

Our fully furnished 2 bedroom villa is on a gated site set around a private courtyard with a large 20m swimming pool. The villa consists of a double bedded bedroom with ensuite, a twin bedded bedroom, modern kitchen, bathroom and shower room, a large wrap-around balcony, a private roof sun terrace, and garden. Ideal for private sun bathing or enjoying a drink before heading out for the evening. A glorious blue flag beach and harbour promenade are only a five minute walk away.

There is a spacious roof terrace with sun beds and patio dining furniture,. There is also a WC on this third floor.

Our villa is furnished to a very high contemporary standard. The bedrooms are on the ground floor and have wardrobe facilities, including safety deposit box . The first floor open plan style maximises the living space available and is complimented with a balcony to the front overlooking the pool and a large wrap around balcony to the rear, also with patio dining furniture.

Access to all levels is via a contemporary spiral staircase which has child safety gates. Air conditioning features throughout, and in the cooler winter months it also provides warm convected air.

The villa also has use of private parking which is sheltered from the sun.

Preferred changeover days are Tuesdays and Saturdays to accommodate to UK flights into Heraklion airport, but we can be flexible on changeovers where possible.

Getting around

There are many breathtakingly beautiful walks in the area. One of our favourites is simply to stroll along the promenade past the harbour and up to the headland for amazing views over the bay. Our villa offers high quality self-catering holidays within Makrigialos itself. Do not confuse us with other complexes, e.g. Lagada Resort , which is several kilometres outside the village. The location of our villas means that you can enjoy the fabulous panoramic views from our private roof top terraces, or watch the sunset sipping a glass of wine prior to taking a short stroll to dine at one of the many traditional restaurants that are on your doorstep

Interaction with guest

Our villas are managed locally by Rosemary (English and speaks Greek) and her husband, Niko (Greek and speaks English). Rosemary is normally on hand to greet guests on arrival and show them around the villa.

“A lovely little villa in a beautiful location”

We stayed in Saffia villa for 2 weeks at the beginning of August. The villa is clean and modern, and in an excellent spot on the peaceful complex, right next to the inviting and well kept pool. The WIFI is good and there are DVDs to watch, as well as a few games and some good books. The location is outstanding, with a gorgeous beach just a 5 minute walk and plenty of Greek restaurants and shops very close. We didn’t hire a car so bought food from the small supermarket, which was fine. It took a little longer than we expected to get to and from the airport, so leave plenty of time for return transfers. We arrived on the late flight on our first night, and it would have been really lovely to have had a basic food/drink basket in the villa - this is something we would be happy to pay extra for. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and we would definitely recommend Saffia Villa.

How do damage deposits work?
