Description

Number 69 Maen Barn Number is an attractive apartment on the Maenporth Estate. It's in an ideal location as it's close to the leisure centre, a few minutes' walk from the beach and a ten-minute drive to the bustling seaside town of Falmouth. It's decorated in neutral shades but the artwork and soft furnishings provide bursts of colour.

Step into the living room and you'll instantly think of the beach; the laminate floor and comfortable sofas are the beige of the sand, while the blues in the soft furnishings speak of the sea. It's a tranquil space, packed with personality. You'll love the seaside-touches in the artwork and quirky ornaments. The dining area has a modern Shabby Chic table and chairs, perfect for a cosy supper or for a family game of cards. The kitchen is fitted with up-to-date, glossy white units and contemporary biscuit-coloured tiles. You'll find everything you need here to keep your family happy for the week.

The kitchen is fitted with up-to-date, glossy white units and contemporary biscuit-coloured tiles. You'll find everything you need here to keep your family happy for the week.

There's a toilet and shower room on this floor too, which means showering off the day's sand will be twice as fast.

Upstairs to the master bedroom which has a minimalist design. It's decorated in a simple cloud-white which is calming, and provides a perfect background canvas for the stripped pine furniture. The second bedroom is a twin, and similarly styled. The family bathroom, tiled in a cool, sandstone colour, has both a bath and overhead, electric shower to suit everybody's needs. You'll also find a heated towel rail in here to ensure those swimming towels are kept warm and dry.

Downstairs again, and out through the patio doors and onto the tiled terrace, where you can enjoy an early evening get-together for cheese or wine, or a delicious afternoon cream tea, but remember - jam first; we're Cornish!

We'll pop in a bottle of wine, Taylors filter coffee, Smugglers tea, milk and a selection of Cornish biscuits, ready for your arrival.

Number 69 Maen Barn has been awarded a 4 Star rating by Quality in Tourism. There is a returnable £100 deposit against damages on this property.

You'll have 29 acres of mature gardens to explore, plus full use of the leisure facilities, including the heated, indoor swimming pool.

The England region

Cornwall, the home of Poldark, Jamaica Inn and the Pirates of Penzance. It's the land of pasties, sand and sunshine. Beautiful beaches, coastal walks, and award-winning gardens that thrive in our exceptionally warm micro-climate. Check out Trebah for spectacular Camellias, Rhododendrons and Magnolias. Visit Enys Gardens for a carpet of bluebells, or Glendurgan for its amazing maze.
Spend the day in Falmouth - the third largest natural harbour in the world - take a boat trip along the Carrick Waters to a smuggler's cottage, or hop on the ferry to St Mawes. Visit the Maritime Museum, great for children with its hands-on approach. Catch some Medieval jousting at Pendennis Castle. Or simply sit with a cold glass of white wine and watch the boats glide past.
Indulge yourself with a delicious, locally made ice cream or mango and passion fruit sorbet. Lose yourself in a luxurious Cornish Clotted Cream Tea - jam first please, we're Cornish! Try a bottle of Rattler's Cider, or a pint of Betty Stogs.
Picnic at the outdoor Minack Theatre, Stroll through our beautiful capital city, Truro, with its beautiful 20th century cathedral. Giggle at the Newquay Zoo meercats. Or there's The Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, St Michael's Mount, The Geevor Tin Mine, Land's End... but, whatever you chose to do in Cornwall, you'll be sure to unwind from daily stresses and just relax.

'Ansum.

Maenporth

Helford Passage is about a mile from the village of Mawnan Smith. It's on the river - the Helford, of course, with a lovely sandy beach, and direct access onto the coastal path. We've got the Ferryboat Inn on site which specialises in local seafood dishes and exquisite hot chocolates with Baileys Cream.

From here you can catch the ferry across to Helford Village, or hire a rowing boat or kayak for the day. The kiosk sells delicious ice-creams and warm buttery popcorn.

The stunning Trebah and Glendurgan gardens are just a few minutes away. Falmouth is our nearest town, where you'll find the Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle, pubs and restaurants.

We've got fishing trips nearby, golf, cycling, horse-riding, seaside fish and chips, coastal walks, and so much more!
