Description from owner

Description

Tithe Barn is a fantastic venue for large gatherings. It is a beautiful barn conversion with an abundance of space. Set on a working farm within a small Cotswolds hamlet, the barn has nearby access to the rolling countryside of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The open plan living that the owners have created make it a real treat and clearly ideal for entertaining. Internally the barn has been carefully renovated and provides superb facilities and touches including the enormous windows in the centre of the building, which we feel will make it a firm favourite with customers. Externally this English Country barn has an enclosed garden and access to brilliant walks in every direction.

Location description from owner

The England region

Lyneham

Tithe Barn sits in a perfect spot on the edge of the hamlet of Lyneham, which is not the same place where the RAF are based please note - that is about 25 miles away! From your door you are able to take in some stunning scenery on some long walks deep into the Cotswold hills. The village is very much a traditional Cotswolds' one, packed with attractive, classic buildings and a collection of some top notch pubs. It sits about half way between Burford and Chipping Norton, each no more than 3 or 4 miles in each direction and each with resturants and some shops worth visiting. There are a few villages which sit within close proximity - Shipton under Wychwood, Kingham and Churchill - all equally attractive and each with a pub.

“Spacious comfortable converted barn in great location”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2012

Stayed with a group of family and friends for a big birthday - great big space downstairs in the open plan lounge with kitchen off. Well-equipped and comfy - nice big sofas. Nice and warm over a cool spring weekend. Good walking on your doorstep and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We found that some of the equipment wasn't quite suitable for a very large party eg, no large cooking pan to cook a big pot of food for the whole group - we passed this on to the owners - and from the guest book it looked like they were very good at picking up on guests' comments.
