Description

The Old School House is set within the New Forest National Park, a truly stunning part of the New Forest, with ponies, cows, donkeys and pigs your only traffic jam.

An ideal home for couples or families whether they want to relax or be active.

The spacious lounge has a large log burner and oak flooring and opens onto the kitchen. The kitchen has granite tops and limestone flooring and opens into the oak sun room with its spacious dining table, overlooking a private enclosed garden.

With all of the accommodation on the ground floor The Old School House suits both young children and older family members and is also perfect for 4 adults. Both bedrooms have king sized beds with one room being available to split into two single beds.

Whilst The Old School House was the original school for the boys in Bramshaw it was converted in 2007 into 3 lovely family homes, maintaining the original charm of the school but fully modernised throughout including underfloor heating throughout The Old School House including the sun room and a large walk in shower in one of the bedrooms.

The lounge is perfect in the summer with its high vaulted ceiling and cosy in the winter around the large log burner and the oak sun room is the perfect setting for leisurely meals all year round. The kitchen has everything you need to make it a home away from home.

With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with walk in shower and 2 sinks, it is ideally suited for families or couples. And a private secure garden is perfect for children or a well behaved dog.

There is off road parking for 2-3 cars. One directly outside the house, one under the car port and one in front of the car port. All accessed by driving across the cattle grid to the house.

“The perfect gem in the New Forest.”

The Old School House in Bramshaw is the perfect location for exploring the Forest. Close to Lyndhurst, Lymington, Salisbury, Winchester and Southampton. Found many good pubs serving lovely food close by and have loved seeing ponies, donkeys, sheep and cows all nearby. We have loved this place and would highly recommend it. It is so well equipped and is beautifully warm and cozy. The owners Helen & Paul made us most welcome and helped made our stay a very happy, memorable time in a very special place.

“Perfect weekend”

We have just stayed a weekend at the Old Schoolhouse and definitely found a 'gem' in the New Forest. The house was modern, spotless and very well equipped. The underfloor heating was just wonderful. We visited the coast just 30 minutes drive away to see some amazing seas and also a good visit to Beaulieu Motor Museum. My husband has mobility problems and found the house very user-friendly. The little pigs, donkeys, deer, cows, horses and sheep roaming nearby were just magical. It really made you enjoy life at a more restful pace!

“Family stay”

We had a fantastic stay at the Old School House with our daughter and our dog. This is a great property for family's, the house is beautiful, immaculately clean and in a great location. We did a lot of research before booking our week away and it paid off. We couldn't have asked for more and would highly recommend this property to anybody looking to holiday in the New Forest.

This was our second visit and new new owners have maintained the excellent standards. Everything we needed was there both in the house and in the area too. Animals and birds all around and great walks from the door and also just a short drive away. Thoroughly recommended!

“Fantastic family getaway”

We stayed at The Old Schoolhouse for 1 week at the end of may/start of june and had a fantastic time. The cottage is very spacious and homely at the same time. The kitchen is very well equipped. The garden with outdoor furniture and BBQ is lovely. The cottage was very clean. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, this included cake, tea bags,coffee,sugar, spare bin bags, dishwasher tablets and there was even milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge!!!! My husband, myself and children aged 5 & 3 visited Longdown Activity Farm near Lyndhurst, went to The Isle of Wight for the day on the ferry which runs from Lymington, Peppa Pig World/Paulton's park, went on loads of great bike rides and walks. Every day was a brilliant day. The owner's of the house made us very welcome, they let us borrow tools when one of the bikes broke and even let us stay 1 night extra!! Fantastic service!!! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
