“An absolute dream”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2013

I can only say positive things about our stay. Tracey has obviously worked hard to make the cottage as welcoming as she can. Roses, muffins, a local paper, milk in the fridge and a welcoming card are a lovely touch. The cottage itself could not be in a better location and comes with a parking clock which applies to most car parks in the area. The rear courtyard is a great sun trap and the cottage is provided with everything you need for your stay. Most comfortable bed I've slept in for ages! I'm at the cottage as I write this and as soon as I finish am going online to try to book again for later in the year! We've just had a walk round the Saturday market in the high street which was interesting and Lymington has so many eateries you're spoilt for choice. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying a stay here...

“Lovely comfortable cottage on the doorstep of the New Forest”

Reviewed 27 May 2013

Lovely cottage, comfortable and well equipped. We soon got used to the bedrooms being on the ground floor and enjoyed the view of the quayside from the upstairs lounge. Very nicely presented with homely touches and everything you could want with a lovely, peaceful courtyard garden to enjoy the sunshine. There are fantastic eating places in Lymington, just a stroll away and we found it an excellent base to explore the New Forest aided very much by the parking clock which comes with the cottage for your stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept really well. The quayside can get busy especially on delivery day but generally very peaceful and relaxing and we would definately return.

“Lovely cottage - Central to Lymington”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2012

I stayed in this lovely cottage with my husband and toddler (nearly 3). It is a very well equipped cottage and had a lovely "homely feel". Its position in Lymington is great, walking distance to high street with its shops and Saturday market, opposite car parks (but we did not encounter any noise/parking issues!). There is a lovely little park with swings further down the road, about a 5 minute walk. You can explore many sights that are within easy driving (The New Forest, Beaulieu, Littlehampton etc) and we caught the ferry from Lymington to the Isle of Wight. Would recommend and hope to go back another time!

“Luxurious cottage in the midst of the lovely town of Lymington close to the New Forest.”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2012

We stayed in this cottage for just one week. Given the perfect location just outside the New Forest and on the coast line just opposite Isle of Wight, we could easily have spend two weeks here. The cottage itself is recently renovated to a very high standard. On arrival there were some lovely pink roses and a personal note, the Lymington post (local news paper) and some double chocolate muffins. A really warm welcome! The next day we got to see the Olympic Torch as the Torch Relay visited Lymington. Great, except for the weather, cats and dogs to see the least... The cottage is in the old town of Lymington and if you look outside the windows you see the hustle and bustle of the towns harbour. If you step outside the cottage and go to the left on the cobble stones you have some lovely little shops. And if you turn left and up towards Kings Heas, lovely pub, you go to the High Street. Just outside the house is the Shipp Inn. It has the greatest desert we have ever had. It is called the Sharrerrrr and you really should try this if you are into deserts. They have a lovely deck with a great look at the harbour. You could see the boat to Isle of Wight leave. The high street is full of lovely shops, we counted 3 cook shops! The Fish and Ships shop at the beginning of the High Street on your right hand is really good. We took some home, but you see lots of people eating their F&S in the harbour. At the end of the high street there is a lovely place called Willow with great scones, cakes and coffees and teas. The New Forest is lovely for walking and the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu is also worth a visit.

“Cosy cottage on Quay side”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2012

This cottage is very cosy & is of a very high standard. It is in a great location for exploring the surrounding area aswell as sitting watching the boats & goings on on the quay side.

“Supberb property in the most fantastic location”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2012

We had the most fantastic stay at this lovely property on the quay in Lymington. The location was brilliant in that it was so central both for the town, the quay and the railway station for trips further afield. Even being so central it was still very quiet in the house where you could enjoy lovely views over the quay and the estuary beyond. What was also nice, was our ability to leave the car parked up and to take a number of lovely walks along the river and the solent, or to walk into the town. There were many local pubs and restauarants for breakfast, lunch or dinner depending on how lazy we were on the day. The house had been finished to a very high standard and was very comfortable to stay in with a nice quiet garden at the back to enjoy the sun. All that you would expect was available. Would throughly recommend it.
