Our apartment is situated in the private condominium / resort of Estrela da Luz boasts one of the best locations directly overlooking the quieter Adult swimming pool. With a huge terrace off both the living room and main bedroom we are equipped with everything you need to enjoy the sunshine from early morning to late evening. We have spent considerable effort in ensuring that it is furnished and decorated to the very highest standard of comfort. We feel that it provides a real 'home from home' experience for the ideal family or group holiday with every possible comfort and convenience provided including TV with English stations.. All rooms are fitted with air conditioning and we have an additional TV /DVD for the bedroom for a later movie! The luxurious Estrela complex provides something for all with a choice of three outdoor pools, one for adults only, an Elemis health and beauty spa with jacuzzi, sauna and heated pool, fully equipped gymnasium and exercise studios with daily classes. Tennis, basketball courts as well as the famous 'Steve Davis' snooker room. and a children's playground and club complete the facilities provided for everyone. If you don't feel like cooking in the high-spec well equipped kitchen, the resort offer a number of options for fine dining - from the Hugo Beaty Bar/Restaurant to the more exclusive fine dining option in the restaurant on-site. Kids club available for the summer months at a cost payable directly to the resort.

“Fab 3 bed in a super complx”

Just back from a week in this fab 3 bed in Estrella da luz. Super spacious apartment with large sunterrace overlooking adult only pool. This is a lovely apartment in a fantastic up market complex . Close to beach and a nice selection of restaurants (Endless summer for amazing breakfast bowls ,Fortaleza and A Concha for suberb dinners and lunches. For fellow fitness travellers theres an on site gym at Estrella and nice hike from Luz to Burgau. This is the second time we have stayed in this particular apartment and our fourth time in the complex ,both are hard to beat. Lillian the owner is a pleasure to deal with ,helpful and efficient. “Fabulous apartment and complex”

This 3-bed apartment was part of the Estrela da Luz complex very close to Praira de Luz in the Algarve. The apartment itself was fabulous - clean, spacious and all that we needed (includes dishwasher and washing machine). Lovely balcony to sit on, overlooked the pool and big enough for dining out in the evening. We enjoyed the outdoor pools and the heated indoor pool/jacuzzi and gym. Local beach no more than 10 minutes walk. Luz had plenty of good eateries and fantastic cliff walks - our best being to Burgau which is beautiful. Local buses cheap (1 euro 60 cents to Lagos/Burgau) though not very frequent. Would definitely return.

We had a fabulous holiday in Estrela de Luz. The apartment was spacious, very well maintained, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Its located just a few minutes walk from the center of the beautiful town of Luz, the city of Lagos is nearby but we found that Luz has all you need and more. It has large selection of really nice restaurants and a top class beach. The complex has a gym, three pools, bars & restaurants too. The staff were very friendly and the owner was most accommodating. We flew into Faro and found it very easy to get to Luz from the airport. There was plenty of parking with a underground car park and street parking too. The apartment was fully kitted out, it had everything we needed. It would be perfect for couple or a family, all the rooms are very spacious; three large bedrooms, big living/dining lounge area, two bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen. It has two balconies, the main balcony was like a totally separate living space, overlooking the pool. Half of the balcony was under shade with a large table & chairs, perfect for al fresco dining. The other half of the balcony gets sun and had a couch, coffee table and sungloungers. We slept very well because apartment has automatic window shutters and air conditioning. The shops were a short stroll away too, so it made life easy. It was our second time visiting and we will be back again. We had a super stay and would highly recommend the apartment for people who want a stress free getaway to a comfortable, relaxing, little gem on the Algarve.

My partner and I had a wonderful time in Estrella de Luz. The apartment was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. The complex had everything we needed, including pools, gym, and the Hugo Beaty bar. Lillian was very professional and made the whole booking process effortless. She also offered recommendations for restaurants in the surrounding areas which was very helpful. We would highly recommend to anyone! We will be returning this August! Rob & Margaret

“Fantastic Apartment”

Not our first time in Estrela but first time in this apartment. Lillian was so helpful before we arrived and as always the reception staff in Estrela are excellent and always go out of their way to help you. The apartment was fantastic, and so big. Big enough for 6 adults 1 teenager and 1 baby and never felt in anyone's way. Just love going to Estrela and would highly recommend it and the surrounding restaurants such as The Dolphin, Ondaluz, Pashmina and a new one we tried Paulos.

Just as good as the first time with a spectacular sun patio to enjoy breakfast al fresco and all the amenities on site. The owner is always very helpful & accommodating & we thoroughly recommend holidaying at Praia da Luz, a beautiful family friendly resort!

6 of us stayed at Lillian's apartment for 2 weeks at the end of July/early August - 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a 10 and 11 year old. We had a wonderful time - the apartment is even more spacious that the pictures show, and it's really well equipped. The double balcony overlooks the adult pool so sun beds were always available. There are signs up to say that only over 16 year olds should use the pool but there were often teenagers in there. The pool supervisor said that he allows older children to swim there when it's not too busy and late afternoon - this was good for our kids but something to be mindful of if you want a pool completely child-free in the school holidays. The Estrella complex has a nice pool bar/restaurant with reasonably priced food and drink - no entertainment (which we were happy about) and no late night noise other than one night when some teenagers attempted to have a party - the hotel management put a stop to it really quickly! Luz is a lovely resort with plenty of good places to eat and drink - there is a restaurant attached to the Estrella complex which was fine but not our favourite place to eat. We ate twice at Paulo's which was lovely (Chicken Cataplana a favourite) - it's just down the road with Clive's next door (good cocktails!), Fontaleza and La Fabrica were lovely too. We discovered that all the good restaurants get booked up a few days in advance so it's worthwhile trying to be organised about where you eat in advance. Overall a brilliant holiday and I would thoroughly recommend the apartment, the complex and the resort of Luz. Thank you Lilian for being super-helpful and making the booking so easy and stress-free... we very much hope to be back!

Had a wonderful stay in Luz! Our apartment was better than we imagined, really spacious with a fabulous sun terrace overlooking the pool below. The complex ,Estrela is ideally situated, very close to the supermarkets and the centre of Luz. The onsite facilities are great and the staff are extremely helpful . Will definitely go there again!

Another enjoyable stay in Lillian's lovely apartment. We have been staying in E da L apartments for 6 years now & found this one to be one of the nicest, the whole apartment is massive & has a really nice view over one of the pools. Booking with Lillian is always very easy & will book again for next year once flights become available.

We stayed in this apartment again this year, having had a great holiday in Estrela last year. As a family with mixed interests there was something for everyone, great bars, restaurants, spa treatments and even a super gym. As the apartment is huge there was plenty of space for us all to chill out with an enormous terrace to sunbathe on and dine out al fresco. We will be back next year for sure and will be staying at this apartment again, with its sunny aspect and great location overlooking the adult pools.

How do damage deposits work?
