Fabulous villa apartment with beautiful tropical gardens

The west bank of Luxor is a wonderful place to stay. The way of life is slower and more traditional than the touristy East Bank.

Villa Bahri is a small English owned villa comprising of just 2 apartments and a rooftop studio. It is finished and maintained to high European standards. The villa is about 10 -15 minutes gentle walk to the River and ferry boats and local restaurants and shops. As it is on the west bank of Luxor it is very easy to get to the tombs and temples of the Theban mountains. But if you want to visit the main town it is reached quickly and easily via motorboat

The Garden apartment has 2 bedrooms and a large living area with bed settees. There is a well equipped kitchen and a high standard bathroom with bath and shower. There is a good size verandah looking down onto the pretty tropical garden with shaded seating area. We also have a large rear garden with sunny and shaded sitting areas. We

We are growing a selection of fruit trees including mango, orange and banana

We now also have the first floor apartment available with its light, airy rooms and wonderful veiws

The roof terrace has wonderful views across the sugarcane and banana plantations towards the river and views of the mountains to the rear.

The Nile River Valley region

Luxor is the largest open air museum in the world and home to the tombs, temples and treasures of the Pharaohs.

But there is so much more to Luxor than the history. Its also an ideal location for relaxing in the warm winter sun. There is unlimited inspiration for the artist or keen photographer.

The river is a haven of wildlife with lots of opportunities for fishing or sailing. There are excellent riding stables with the Arabian horses. Or take a trip into the desert and sleep under the stars.

Luxor

Valley of the Kings/Queens, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple and many more are within a few minutes drive. Also within reach are Abydos, Dendera, Kom Ombo and Edfu.


There is sailing or fishing on the Nile, Horse riding or quad biking in the desert or camel walks by the river. Or just walk around observing the local way of life

The fabulous Red Sea with its swimming, snorkelling and diving makes a great day trip.

Aswan is around 3 hours away and Cairo can be reached easily by egyptair flights or the overnight train
