Rise Again Cottage, at 175 Second Peninsula Road, Lunenburg, with only a quiet road between you and an ocean cove, is a real Maritime home with brightly coloured, cheerful rooms, linens, furniture and accessories. Walls are hung with marine charts, photographs, paintings, prints, and decorations. The living room and the master bedroom face east down the inlet towards the sea, with brilliant summer sunrises and glorious afternoon light on the adjacent hills. Enjoy the spacious deck in the soft morning and at the end of your day, with a barbecue and a glass of Nova Scotia wine. The house is graced with a wide deep lawn, meticulously maintained.

The cottage is well supplied with an open wood burning fireplace, 39-inch flat screen HD TV, DVD/CD player, cable-TV, high-speed internet, telephone, and a library of DVDs, CDs, and books, plenty of towels, down duvets, extra pillows, hand-made quilts and blankets, an espresso/ cappuccino machine, and comfortable furniture, some of it crafted locally.

The cottage accommodates 6 people in three bedrooms.

Swim and paddle from our dock, just across the road. We have 3 sit-aboard kayaks and a canoe for your use, with paddles and universal PFDs, a rowboat, and 2 sea kayaks which are usually available. The cottage has an array of indoor and outdoor activities. Five minutes away, near the end of the peninsula, is Bachman's Beach, a delightful long, uncrowded sand beach with clear, quiet shallow waters - perfect for children. The peninsula as well as the whole south shore, are great for walking and biking.

Rise Again Cottage is a perfect place for couples and families to feel comfortably at home, while being within a very short drive to all the local festivals, shops, bakeries and restaurants and to the local festivals and fairs, and to so many activities -- golf, hiking, kayaking, swimming, beach walking, whale-watching, cruising., and so much more.

The name Rise Again Cottage was selected because of the well-known Stan Rogers song Rise Again (Mary Ellen Carter) and because it is an old local tradition to select for a boat a name with three A's. And, of course, every morning, from the deck and living room, guests will see the sun Rise Again.

How do damage deposits work?
