Description

Nestled on the South Shore of Nova Scotia on lovely Heckman’s Island. Just a few minutes drive to the Historic Town of Lunenburg, artists, photographers and kayakers alike will be delighted with the undeniable natural beauty of Blue Rocks. Blue Rocks is still a working fishing village with blue slate rocks on the edge of the ocean and has been a popular destination since the 1940s.

The space

Stay at the OLD BARN and enjoy peace and

quiet. This post and beam barn has been

renovated into in this pleasant, warm and

spacious Air BnB. With 4 bedrooms full of

history and warmth. This charming place is

loved by everyone that sets foot into it.

The main level is bright and airy with open

concept main room, along with the master

bedroom and full bath. The living room has a

wood stove where you can enjoy your favourite

beverage and sit with a good book, especially

on long winter nights.

Ductless heat pump for additional heating and

cooling in the summer. Enjoy eating at the

kitchen bar or sip drinks with friends,

surrounded by the old barn boards and posts.

The upper floor that was originally the hay loft

includes 3 more bedrooms, a large open loft

area with exposed beams that leads to a large

upper deck for lounging.

Don’t forget the garden surroundings perfect for

a winter or summer BBQ, having drinks and enjoying the great outdoors.

You will certainly enjoy the privacy and incredible peacefulness that surrounds our home!

Stay for a night, for a week or an extended period. Great

for wedding parties, get togethers, conferences,

workshops or art and music retreats.

Old Barn 8-10 Min to Blue Rocks or Lunenburg and 8 km from Lunenburg Visitor Information Centre. Lunenburg has small town character, with an easy access to Halifax and South Shore markets, links with the Annapolis Valley, the New England States, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

I love the Lunenburg and South Shore area the beautiful landscape and culture. I would love to share its secrets with my guests and answer all their questions to make sure their needs are met so they make the most of their stay. I won’t be always available in person and will give my guests space but I am always available when needed.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Heidi (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
