Methera Cottage offers a truly unique and captivating experience and provides an ideal place to get away from it all and relax within the beautiful Lake District National Park.

Providing luxurious self-catering for two guests, the building was previously used to keep animals and today it is perfect for those who enjoy walking with access on foot from the cottage onto The "Cumbrian Way" and a wealth of fantastic walks available locally in the surrounding area.

Methera Cottage provides a superb blend of rural charm with stylish modern luxury to ensure a high level of comfort throughout. It offers a number of hotel qualities whilst offering guests the space and privacy of a charming traditional Lakeland cottage - the winning combination of 'contemporary cottage chic'.

It is a superb choice for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of more touristy areas and recharge their batteries in a peaceful setting, yet easily accessible to the areas many attractions.

Methera Cottage is all on the one level and well proportioned, providing a cosy, special retreat for a romantic, countryside escape. It is a comfortable, luxurious cottage, which has been decorated and furnished to a high standard.

The Double bedroom is stylish with dual aspect windows which let the light flood in, and an exceptionally comfy bed, oodles of wardrobe space and vanity area.

Modern shower room wtith WC and wash basin.

Main room which is a cosy open-plan living, dining space, leading into the open plan kitchen area. You immediately feel at home; Curl up on the comfy sofa after you have enjoyed supper with a glass of wine and watch your favourite movie or box set (full Sky digital channels available ).

Stylish modern kitchen off the lounge which is very well equipped and beautifully presented with integrated dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer andelectric oven/hob.

Why can't I call Emma (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Emma (the owner) a message.

If Emma (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
