“Lovely house, lovely location, lovely break”

Reviewed 21 Oct 2016

The house is perfectly situated for all amenities. Having visited 2 years ago without children and now with 2 boys, the house caters for all scenarios perfectly! The heating system is particularly fab on the cold nights. The biscuits on arrival and even the toys hidden away for the children to play with. All perfect. Thank you very much for your hospitality Appletree Cottage.

“Beautiful, comfortable house”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2016

We had a great time staying at Appletree cottage. It was very comfortable and warm. The garden and conservatory were really pretty so we hope to come back in the summer. The welcome trey was a nice surprise and we were very grateful for the milk, tea and coffee. Great location, just a 5 minute drive to Stow-On-The-Wold and not much longer to other nearby towns. Our favourite was Bourton on Water. Highly recommend staying here.

“A great place to stay”

We had a lovely break in this warm, cosy cottage which is ideally situated for visiting all of the Cotswolds.

“The cosiest cottage in the best location”

Reviewed 28 Sep 2015

We were very impressed with our stay at Appletree Cottage. The weather had just turned colder, but the house was lovely and warm and felt very welcoming. It had everything you could need and more! Our 4 year old daughter settled in immediately and we all felt very comfortable there. A lovely quiet location, with all the local towns easy to reach by car. We would love to come back for a longer stay next time.

“Perfect”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2015

Lovely cottage in a perfect location with everything you could ever need, very comfortable bed, constant hot water for showers plus the lounge, conservatory and dining room all had plenty of comfy chairs. Masses of utensils/crockery etc if you intend to cook while staying. All beautifully clean and tea/coffee/milk and biscuits along with fresh flowers on our arrival. Our reason for staying was a wedding at nearby Hyde Barn (again another lovely place) and our only regret was that we would have loved to stay longer but as we only had from Friday to Tuesday we didn't get much walking done so hopefully we will be able to return. So glad we found Appletree cottage - thank you John and Caroline

“Lovely cottage, ideal location for touring the Cotswolds”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2015

Very relaxing stay at this lovely and cozy cottage. Ideal location for touring the Cotswolds, with Stow-on-the-Wold just a 10minute drive away. Visited Tewkesbury and Bourton-on-water.

“A very charming place”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2013

This place is just right for all the city boys and girls who crave to get out of their tiny central London apartments from time to time and enjoy a really nice cottage and the countryside. The cottage looks so charming it's hard to believe it's real. Inside it's pretty spacious with a double bedroom of a good size and another very large bedroom with 3 single (but pretty large) beds. The bathroom is also bigger than I expected. The living room and the terrace are very cozy, just right for a relaxing night in with a glass of wine in front of a log burner. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal. It might have been a good idea if there was more than 1 frying pan there, but since it was just 2 of us we were fine. I spoke to the owners through emails in the run up to the holiday and they seemed a very nice and friendly couple. All in all - the best thing you can think of for a relaxing weekend away from London.

“Perfect place, perfect location”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2013

This property has everything you need, so well kitted out, from the DvD's to the fireplace. The best clothes washer and dryer, quick and efficient. Good shower and the lovely flowers on arrival a very nice touch. Lower Swell is a great spot, friendly village and the Golden Ball pub, has excellent food and very friendly locals. We used this as a base for the Cotswolds and it was perfect, there is a large Tesco in Stow so good for supplies. Owners very quick to respond and answer any questions.

“Great cute cottage - perfect get away!”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2013

This was a very well maintained cottage. As a group of 5 girls we found the space really nice, the venue very clean with lots of friendly surroundings. We stayed during a very hot weekend and the cottage was nice and cool inside but with loads of pretty outside areas. It was nice and clean, with everything we needed and very friendly owners. We would defiantly stay here again.

“Appletree Cottage. I'd do it again”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2013

The pictures don't do this place justice. When I read the word "Cottage" I was expecting something older, but this place was quite conteporary. Very spacious. The ameneties to "get you started" were really nice.Fully equipped kitchen, Coffe, tea, sugar and milk in the fridge. Wi-Fi. Directions to local attractions, grocery, etc. and maps were great to have. Being American, I was not familiar with the heating system, and couldn't figure out how to turn it on. Owner came by straight away and showed me how to operate it. The owners were very accomodating on shifting the dates of our stay when our other travel plans changed. You will get more than you expect if you stay here. A very homey feel. American are not familiar with the idea of using GPS to navigate to a postal code, rather than an address, but it will take you right to it. We would have found it anyway with the directions given by the owners.
