“Beautiful Cottage, Amazing scenery, highly recommended!!”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2018

We stayed at Newlands Corner to celebrate a 60th and 44th birthday and we weren't disappointed, it was absolutely amazing. The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped, we took some glasses, cups and cookware with us as everywhere we normally stay we are short of item - not in this case - there was everything we could ever need. It was beautifully clean and obviously a very loving home to the owners. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated and we loved looking at the artwork and the various items the owners have collected (Drums, Photographs on walls etc). The beds were very comfortable and towels were provided which was a nice touch. As we took a dog with us the gate was perfect as it meant he could wander around without fear of escaping the premises. The weather was amazing for our visit and a quick call to the letting agents provided us access to the garden furniture which was in the summer house. So we enjoyed sitting in the garden in the sun. The location is beautiful, peaceful and quiet and about 2 minutes walk to the local pub. We walked into Bourton on the water which is a about 30 minutes down the path beside the pub. Wonderful on a nice summer day. You are withing 15-20 minutes of several villages, stow on the wold, Burford and Cirencester. We have a wonderful time and will definitely be returning. Thank you !!!!

“Wonderful Place to Stay in Beautiful Lower Slaughter”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2016

We stayed at the Newlands Corner for 6 nights during our two-week trip to England. The house was comfortable, quiet and well appointed. It is located in the beautiful village of Lower Slaughter. We loved walking around the village by the river and taking the Warden's Path to Upper Slaughter. In the pretty field right behind the house we saw rabbits, and sometimes horses. It is a at great location from which we easily visited other Cotswolds villages and Oxford. The house was well managed (clean and had everything we needed). There was even a lemon cake in the kitchen to welcome us! We are from California and this was our first trip to England. The property manager was most kind in answering our questions and providing helpful suggestions. We will definitely visit the Cotswolds and stay at this house again.
